Al-Rass General Hospital Relives the Suffering of Child with Dyspnea
09 April 2017
The otolaryngology surgery team at Al-Rass General Hospital has successfully managed to relieve the suffering of a two-year-old child, who had been suffering from shortness of breath (dyspnea) due to repeated chronic inflammations. The child had undergone medical examination, which showed that he had large swollen tonsils and nasal polyps, causing shortness of breath that may reach to brief pauses in breathing during sleep (sleep Apnea).

The medical team decided to conduct a new technique by reducing inflammation of the tonsils and removing the polyps; due to the patient's young age and his inability to experience removing both of them together until the age of four years. The day after the surgery, the child has been discharged from hospital in a stable health condition, May Allah be praised.
