Healthcare Center in Makkah Obtains CBAHI Accreditation Certificate

The Eastern Aziziyah Healthcare Center affiliated to Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate has been granted the accreditation certificate by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI). The CBAHI has congratulated the center management and wished them continued success in applying the quality and patient safety standards. This accreditation comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) keenness to invest all the available capabilities to promote and improve the services at its healthcare facilities, in line with the initiatives of the National Transformation Program (NTP) regarding health domain and the Saudi Vision 2030. By the end of 2017, the MOH targets the accreditation of a number of 100 healthcare centers throughout the different regions of the Kingdom, given that the objective is not to obtain the certificate, but to spread the culture of quality, as the accreditation certificate is only a step in the endless journey of quality.
 
It is worth mentioning that the CBAHI accreditation standards for the primary healthcare include leadership, quality management and patient safety, manpower, data and medical records management, patients and their families rights, general clinics, referral, community participation, health promotion, health awareness, maternal and child health, vaccination and non-communicable diseases, elderly healthcare, communicable diseases, oral and dental health, emergency services, environmental health, laboratory services, radiology services, pharmacy services, facility safety and management and infection prevention and control.
