The Maternity and Children Hospital in Buraidah has implemented a Staff Development Program to hone skills of the clinical staff at Nutrition Section in the hospital; in an endeavor to ensure the continuity of the quality and safety of the food provided to inpatients in the hospital. This comes within the framework of the keenness of the hospital to develop the work mechanism in all sections and to develop ways to provide the best healthcare services to patients and visitors.
The program is working to unify the work mechanism at the nutrition section with a safe health methodology throughout all stages of preparing meals for patients. The program has been developed in the form of large screens for all stages of preparing food for patients in several places of the nutrition section. Thus, all staff of the section can easily view these instructions and assume their duties perfectly.
It is worth mentioning that the administration of the hospital aims through this program to train the employees on the quality-based health methodology and the method of working according to Food Safety System (ISO 2200), starting from bringing the row and fresh materials, passing by stages of sorting and preparing them, and ending with providing them to patients.
