A medical team has succeeded in excising a tumor from the right ovary of 18-year old woman, at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Al-Ahsa.
The patient came to the outpatient clinic suffering from pain and flatulence, and necessary tests and x-ray revealed existence of a tumor in her right ovary.
After consultation with cardiologist, internist and anesthesiologist, they operated on her and a 3.6 kg tumor was excised. The patient is still under observation in the hospital and is constantly improving, thanks to Allah.
The patient had previously suffered from a narrow mitral valve due to cardiac rheumatism, and a ring was installed to widen the mitral valve in her childhood.
