MOH: Successful Surgery Ends Suffering of an Infant with Rare Congenital Defect at Maternity and Children Hospital in Najran

A medical team at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Najran has performed a precise surgery for a two-day-old girl with upper contact between the tongue and the roof of the throat, a rare congenital defect that hinders breastfeeding.
 
The baby was born at Najran General Hospital with breastfeeding difficulty, and then transferred to the maternity hospital to undergo a surgery as per the decision of its Consultant Pediatric Surgery who was consulted on her condition and decided to operate on her. Thanks to Allah, the tongue was separated from the roof of the throat and beautified successfully and the baby condition improved after managed to breastfeed normally.
