08 March 2017
A medical team at King Faisal Medical Complex has succeeded in conducting its first-ever endoscope procedure to remove kidney stones through a tiny opening, not more than one centimeter, in the patient body. It is a new medical service in the complex, instead of sending patients to Makkah and Jeddah.

The Department of Urology medical team, led by Consultant Urology Dr. Ashraf Assad Suleiman has managed to conduct a delicate endoscope procedure and cracking the stone before removing it completely from a patient in his twenties and putting an end to his prolonged suffering and inability to work. The patient is currently in good health, thanks to Allah.

It is worth mentioning that the stone removal using and endoscope is one of the new services the complex management is keen to support and provide necessary equipment for the sake of patients and in an endeavor to save their time and effort.
