MOH Signs an Agreement with Sheikh Al-Afaliq for Rehabilitating and Equipping the Center of Cancer Early Detection in Al-Ahsa

In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Ministry of Health (MOH) signed today, Tuesday, an agreement to rehabilitating and equipping cancer early detection center in Al-Ahsa, to be funded by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Suleiman Al-Afaliq, at a total cost of 20 million riyals.
 
The agreement includes rehabilitating and equipping the center's building, adjacent to Prince Saud bin Jalawi Hospital in Al-Ehsa, with all needs of early detection of cancer. The importance of the project lies on the endeavor to detect the cancer in its early stages, thus increasing the chance of recovery, Allah willing.
 
The initiative comes as part of the community partnership program, one of the MOH's new initiatives that aims at involving all segments of community in the  health development, and opening new horizons in the relation between the ministry and community, in order to enhance the health of citizens. The center will be named after Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Afaliq.
