01 March 2017
A medical team at King Khalid Hospital in Najran managed to save the life of a citizen with blood poisoning caused by ruptured appendix and coming late to the hospital. The patient, 96 years old, came to the emergency in an unstable condition, resulting in complications including collection of pus and intestinal obstruction, with high white blood cells.

After evaluating the case, the patient was given the required treatment by doctors in the emergency, and in the operating room they cleaned the pus, opened the intestine and removed the appendix by endoscopic procedure. After being hospitalized for three days, the patient left the hospital in good condition, thanks to Allah.
