The Ministry of Health (MOH) pointed out that Radiology Section at Al-Qurayyat General Hospital has provided its services over the past four months to a number of 24.727 beneficiaries. They included a number of 1.750 patients who underwent ultrasound, a number of 289 patients who underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a number of 1.857 patients who underwent computed tomography (CT) scan, a number of 20.629 patients who underwent regular diagnostic x-rays, a number of 226 females who underwent breast imaging, and a number of 172 patients who underwent osteoporosis imaging.
It is worth mentioning that the Radiology Section at that hospital receives cases referred from Obstetrics and Gynecology Section for undergoing infertility testing. The Radiology Section also receives cases referred from hospitals in the governorate, including King Faisal Hospital, Al-Hadithah General Hospital, and Issawiya General Hospital, especially for conducting MRI, breast imaging, and bone density test (BDT). Furthermore, anesthesia equipment, which is used for anesthesia in children undergoing MRI, has recently been running.
