MOH: 3,729 Trainees Benefit from120 Training Programs at Bisha Health Affairs

Bisha Health Affairs has organized, during last year, 120 training programs, including the ones implemented by the Ministry of Health (MOH), benefiting 107 trainees divided into 4 training programs. Also, 643 participants benefited from conferences on pediatrics, general surgery, diabetes and safe surgery, in addition to comprehensive training programs of the public health department, which benefited 995 trainees, comprehensive training programs of the therapeutic medicine department 1,265 trainees, comprehensive training programs of the support services department 139 trainees and comprehensive training programs of the nursing department 586 trainees.
 
The center organizes these programs in accordance with the needs of the different departments, and they have been implemented over 295 training days and the program is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) with 493 hours of continuing medical education (CME).
 
On the other hand, diabetes center in Bisha continues its services to around 500 patients monthly, through adult diabetes clinics, children diabetes and glands clinics, diabetic foot clinic and health education and nutrition clinic.
 
The diabetic foot clinic has received more than 510 patients during the first four months of this year, and the number of educational and nutritional sessions, organized by the center, amounted to 2700 sessions, and 15,000 diabetics benefited from diabetes screening devices at the center and other health centers.
