A medical team at Al-Iman General Hospital in Riyadh, led by Dr. Nawaf Al-Enazi, an ophthalmology consultant, has succeeded to conduct a rare and precise eye surgery, which is being conducted for the first time, to a 20-year-old young man, as he had been suffering from serious blue waters (glaucoma) that might have led to blindness. This modern surgery has been conducted to the patient for expanding the Schlemm’s canal, which is about 1.0 mm around the eye. The surgery has been crowned with success, May Allah be praised.
It is worth mentioning that Ophthalmology Section at the hospital has been developed and equipped with the latest devices of examination and diagnosing such cases.
