A Medical Team Saves the Life of a Patient with Ruptured Diaphragm at King Fahad Hospital in Jazan

Thanks to Allah, a medical team at King Fahad central Hospital in Jazan has saved the life of patient injured in a traffic accident that caused him sever chest injury and a 20 cm long rupture of his diaphragm.

 During a 3-hour surgery, a medical team comprising doctors from thoracic surgery department and general surgery consultants have managed to repair the rupture. The patient is in stable condition and currently is under a treatment plan by his treating doctors.

On the other hand, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) has accredited 406 hours of continuing medical training for the Training and Scholarships Department of Jazan General Directorate for Health Affairs during the first quarter of this year. 5,286 trainees from all medical and technical specialties have benefited from these training hours. 

 
It is noteworthy that Center for Developing Technical Skills at the Training and Scholarships Department of Jazan Health Affairs has recently being awarded accreditation of a number of specialized technical training courses in dealing with advanced injuries and emergency cases by the American College of Surgeons and other accredited bodies, with the aim of raising efficiency and performance of the health practitioners and training and rehabilitating employees of emergency and surgery sections on dealing with critical and emergency cases.
