MOH's Ehalati Saves 619 Patients Last Month
05 February 2017
Thanks to Allah, the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Referral Program (Ehalati) has contributed last month of Rabie Al-Akher to saving the lives of 619 patients, after they had visited emergency sections at a number of the Kingdom’s regions and received specialized medical services by medical teams. Besides, these medical teams provided their specialized medical services during the same period to 5,438 emergency cases, while the inpatients cases amounted to 3,746 cases, and the cases referred to the outpatient clinics amounted to 11,055 of all referred cases.

These efforts come as a part of the MOH's unstinting support to specialized therapeutic services throughout the regions of the Kingdom. The Program has managed to save 619 patients after providing them with specialized services at reference hospitals, and referred 20.519 patients during the same period.

Within the same vein, the Ministry stated that the program recorded, through an automated system, 11,855 patients in need of referral to specialized and reference hospitals. On the other hand 6,254 progressing cases are still being considered, while 1,307 cases received treatment at the same hospital, and 1,103 cases were placed on the waiting list, to be handled in the coming period depending on their health condition, Allah Willing.

It's worth mentioning that ‘Ehalati’ Program is reckoned one of the new MOH's e-programs. Advantages of the program include providing medical counseling among physicians in the various medical facilities to study the health condition of the patients without the need to refer them. It also provides all the logistic and coordination-related requirements to refer the patient from one medical facility to another. In addition, Ehalati provides an accurate archiving and statistical system, which contains information of the referred patients through the program to different health facilities across the Kingdom.
