The Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched the Psychiatric Clinic annexed to Bani Malik General Hospital in Jazan, in addition the Social Services Section and the Psychologist Office. The clinic has begun to receive cases and provide the appropriate therapeutic services.
The clinic is staffed with a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a social worker and a nurse, providing consultation and treatment services for cases of anxiety and mood disorders, depression disorders, sleep disorders, and schizophrenia disorders. Furthermore, the clinic provides psychometric tests, IQ tests for kids and adults, Beck Depression Inventory Scale (BDIS) and Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (TMAS). The clinic also provides psychological and social support to patients, while emergency and critical cases in need of hospitalization are referred to Al-Amal Mental Health Hospital for receiving the proper treatment.
