A medical team at King Khalid General Hospital has successfully conducted a laparoscope sleeve gastrectomy and hernia repair operation on a female patient. After the sleeve gastrectomy, the team conducted esophagus adhesiotomy and repaired the hernia, using endoscope through a centimeter long abdominal incision instead of large incision that may cause severe pain and infections and post operation scarring. Thanks to Allah, the operation was successful.
It noteworthy that in such cases patient stays in hospital for a period of no more than a week and his return to normal life is faster than in open operations.
