The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by Religious Awareness Department, has paid 164,791 visits to inpatients at the MOH health facilities over the past year. The MOH highlighted that it has provided those patients, who cannot use water due to their health conditions, with 46,636 boxes of “Tayammum” (Clean sand or earth to be used instead of ablution when or where water is unavailable). The MOH also handed over 38,415 copies of the Holy Qur’an and the interpretation of its meaning in various languages to both patients and employees at the MOH health facilities.
Within the vein, the MOH pointed out that it has delivered 554,089 Arabic brochures, 142,042 brochures in other various languages, and 66,783 audio materials, in addition to 2,825 awareness lectures carried out at health facilities. Furthermore, it has delivered 46,223 gifts to both patients and employees, and distributed 2,564 book-stands in patient rooms and waiting areas at the health facilities, as well as holding a number of 52 awareness exhibitions.
