MOH: 14 Health Centers Obtain Accreditation Certificate

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that accreditation certificate from the Saudi Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), has been awarded to 14 primary health care centers, which managed to apply 32 accreditation standards of quality and patient safety in primary health care. 
 
The accreditation emphasized the MOH's keenness to make use of all available capabilities to improve the services of its health facilities, in line with the health transformation program initiatives and the Saudi Vision 2030. It targets accreditation of 100 centers for primary health care in all regions of the Kingdom by the end of 2017, pointing that the accreditation certificate is nothing but a step in the endless quality journey, and the goal is not only the certificate, but spreading the culture of quality.  
 
It is worth mentioning that the CBAHI's accreditation standards for the primary health care include leadership, quality management, patient safety, labor force, information and medical records management, rights of patients and their families, public clinics, referral, community participation, health promotion, health awareness, maternity and child health, immunizations, non-communicable diseases, elderly care, communicable diseases, oral health, emergency services, environment health, laboratory services, radiology services, pharmacy services, facility management and safety and infection combat and prevention.
