In continuation of its efforts to raise awareness against breast cancer, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched a new station for the mobile pink caravan for early detection of breast cancer in Shaqra Governorate. This event, which will last for 30 days, takes place simultaneously with launching the National Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness for 2016 under the theme: “You Are Life… Screen and Reassure Us about You” at Shaqra General Hospital.
The MOH pointed out that this mobile clinic offers integrated health services, including health awareness, mammographic screening, and treatment as and when required.
The MOH added that the early mammographic screening is dedicated to Saudi ladies over the age of 40. Besides, the campaign includes many activities, lectures, and accompanying exhibitions, offering publications, in-kind gifts and visual presentations.
Finally, the MOH has called all ladies to ask the physician about the risk factors of breast cancer and the possibility of incidence, as well as identifying when to start the early screening.
