MOH's Ehalati Saves 751 Patients Last Month
01 December 2016
Thanks to Allah, the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Referral Program (Ehalati) has contributed last month of Safar to saving the lives of 751 patients, after they had visited emergency sections at a number of the Kingdom’s regions and received specialized medical services by medical teams.

Besides, these medical teams provided their specialized medical services during the same period to 6,262 emergency cases, while the inpatients cases amounted to 4,252 cases, and the cases referred to the outpatient clinics amounted to 12,380 of all referred cases.

These efforts come as a part of the MOH's unstinting support to specialized therapeutic services throughout the regions of the Kingdom. The Program has managed to save 751 patients after providing them with specialized services at reference hospitals, and referred 23,645 patients during the same period.

Within the same vein, the Ministry stated that the program recorded, through an automated system, 14,610 patients in need of referral to specialized and reference hospitals. On the other hand 6,797 progressing cases are still being considered, while 1,269 cases received treatment at the same hospital, and 969 cases were placed on the waiting list, to be handled in the coming period depending on their health condition, Allah Willing.

It's worth mentioning that ‘Ehalati’ Program is reckoned one of the new MOH's e-programs. Advantages of the program include providing medical counseling among physicians in the various medical facilities to study the health condition of the patients without the need to refer them. It also provides all the logistic and coordination-related requirements to refer the patient from one medical facility to another. In addition, Ehalati provides an accurate archiving and statistical system, which contains information of the referred patients through the program to different health facilities across the Kingdom.
