Health Minister Orders to Speed up the Completion of Hail Projects

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has given his orders to transfer Hail General Hospital with its entire staff to Hail Specialist Hospital. This 500-bed capacity hospital, which the Ministry of Health (MOH) is working to complete over the coming eight months from now, provides distinctive health services. His directives also include the operation of the region's mental health hospital within three months, in addition to the start-up of conducting cardiac surgeries within one month from now. 
 
During his visit to Hail Region, Al-Rabiah met with the Governor of Hail, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Abdul Muhsin bin Abdulaziz, yesterday afternoon at his Emirate's office and discussed with him the mechanisms for developing health services in the region.
 
The Governor of Hail highlighted that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown prince, and His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince is keen to support all services across the Kingdom’s regions, including the health services in Hail.
 
 “By the grace of Allah, and then by the support of the wise leadership and having an administrative figure like Prince Saud bin Abdul Muhsin, we are more optimistic that performance will be upward over the upcoming period,” said Al-Rabiah, calling for everyone to stick together and build on realized achievements, no matter how small they are until getting bigger, Allah Willing. 
 
Al-Rabiah has been briefed on work progress of the health projects allocated for serving the people of Hail Region, highlighting that the health services in the region require additional care and further development. Besides, he pointed out that some health projects in the region are in their final phases, atop of them is Hail Specialist Hospital Project, which will be a strong factor to bring about change for the better in the region. 
 
Furthermore, Al-Rabiah paid a number of field visits, during which he got acquainted with the health services. His tour included the Saudi German Hospital, which will be launched within two months, Allah Willing.
 
All these projects, he said, will contribute to achieving qualitative and tangible development in the health services across the region, underlining that the MOH will go further to develop the existing medical cadres and attract outstanding ones. 
 
Within the same vein, he announced glad tidings to the people of Hail that cardiac surgeries will be conducted for the first time ever in the region within a month, the matter which is unprecedented and considered an indicator that performance will get further improved; in an endeavor to meet patients’ satisfaction and health needs.
 
Over and above, Al-Rabiah has given his order to attract qualified medical cadres in cardiology and other specializations; in order to provide Hail people with distinctive health services they deserve. “A host of qualified physicians will be attracted from inside and outside the Kingdom,” he said, underlining that such attraction of highly qualified cadres is an important part of the comprehensive development process, the matter which he is heading. He also showed his keen interest in the establishment of a solid phase for health services in the region, highlighting the importance of supporting health services in the region urgently.   
  
It is noteworthy that Al-Rabiah has inaugurated today morning the activities of Durrat Alshamal Health Forum, with the attendance of directors and assistant directors of health affairs directorates in the northern regions (Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Border, and Al-Qurayyat). They briefed him on obstacles and discussed with him urgent solutions for them.
