A total number of 809 national cadres have commenced their new jobs at the Ministry of Health (MOH) in different specializations, including dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, surgery, anesthesiology, emergency and security and safety. The new employees included 81 resident dentists, 215 the pharmacists, and 513 non-physicians cadres.
It is worth mentioning that the total percentage of Saudi pharmacists at the MOH amounted to 91.1% and the Saudization ratios for nurses amounted to 60.1%, while the percentage of the support medical staff amounted to 93%.
During an introductory meeting held last Tuesday, the Vice Minister of Health for Health Affairs, Mr. Hamad Al-Duweila', expressed his pleasure to witness Saudi competencies playing their role in the national health system. Meanwhile he highlighted the MOH's keenness to utilize all available capabilities, attract national qualified cadres and supports its health facilities, in such a manner that contributes, Allah willing, to improving its services and upgrading performance levels; in an endeavor to meet the citizens’ health needs. The meeting comprised a number of sessions and lectures, most prominently Principles of Infection Control, Quality IS Everyone's Responsibility and Health Professions Ethics.
