MOH Home Medicine Conducts Over 1,250,000 Visits

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has provided home medicine services to more than 69,205 patients during more than one and a quarter of a million home visits throughout the Kingdom’s regions and provinces, since the inception of the program until now.

The MOH has pointed out that the number of new cases recorded during the third quarter of this year 1437H amounted to 2,680 cases, and the number of cases, who are currently receiving service, reached 32,164 cases. Likewise, the Ministry stated that the Home Medicine Program is implemented at 206 MOH's hospitals in all health regions, and embraces a total number of 1,680 employees, including health practitioners, physicians, technicians, specialists and general services, via 362 medical crews. 

 
The Home Medicine Program provides a set of activities and medical services (therapeutic, preventive, rehabilitative, awareness and social) to certain categories of patients among their families at their homes. These services are provided, as per specific criteria and mechanism of action, by a medical crew qualified for such purposes. Also medical equipment and supplies are secured in accordance to the patient's needs and health status, in addition to securing all medical consumables used in the activities of home medicine.
