National Campaign for Breast Cancer Early Detection Kicks off in Al-Majmaah

The National Campaign for Breast Cancer Early Detection, carried out by the Ministry of Health (MOH) under the theme: “Reassure Us about You”, keeps on its events. They have recently been launched for four weeks at King Khalid Hospital (KKH) in Al-Majmaah province, covering it and its surrounding areas.
 
The campaign aims at educating ladies, aged 14 years and above, about its program and the importance of early detection of breast cancer in the treatment of this disease and prevention against its complications, the matter which increases the chances of full recovery from the disease at a rate of 90% in case of its early detection.
  
The Director of the National Program for Breast Cancer Early Detection, Dr. Fatin Al-Tahhan, highlighted that all services of the clinic are provided with high quality by a well-trained medical team. Besides, the clinic is equipped with the latest medical devices, she said.

She went on adding that the program helps the ladies follow up their screening progress if they are in need of complementary tests; by means of referring them to reference hospitals to conduct the necessary tests and receive the proper treatment, within a record time to avoid any delay. She pointed out that the campaign comprises a number of activities, lectures and seminars, with the participation of all segments of the community and governmental institutions. 
 
Within the same vein, Al-Tahhan called upon all ladies and girls to benefit from this campaign and proceed to those clinics for performing early detection.
It is noteworthy that the campaign comes as part of an adopted plan, which has been developed in collaboration with the National Campaign for Breast Cancer Early Detection and Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate; to cover all provinces in Riyadh region.
