Makkah Health Affairs: ‘No Senior Officials Summoned for Investigation into Financial Irregularities during Hajj’

Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate has issued a statement, denying the allegations published in some websites that a senior official of the directorate has been summoned for investigation into embezzlements and financial irregularities during hajj season.
This was announced by the spokesman of Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate, Abul-Wahhab Shalaby, who highlighted that this news is incorrect and no one of Makkah Health Affairs officials has been summoned in this regard by Emirate of Makkah Region. Meanwhile, he called upon all mass media to verify facts and ensure accuracy in publishing the news, as well as seeking the correct information from its official sources; in order to avoid spreading misinformation like the aforementioned news.
For his part, an official source underlined that Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate has the right to sue the involved entities, as adopted in such cases according to the IT Crime Control Law. As it has been published on a website that a senior official of Makkah Health Affairs has been summoned by Emirate of Mecca Region for investigation into financial irregularities of about a half million riyals, the matter which has been denied by Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate .
