His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health, Mr. Hamad Al-Duweila‘ has underlined the importance of concerted efforts to control and eliminate diabetes and obesity in the Arab countries, as well as working to activate the positive initiatives and stimulate awareness programs and campaigns to promote healthy lifestyles.
This came during Al-Duweila’s speech at the conclusion of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council Meeting, currently held in Cairo. Besides, he called the participants to attend the World Conference on Diabetes and Obesity in the Arab Countries, which will be held under the theme: “Your Way Towards Change” in Riyadh by the early next year 1438H (corresponding to November, 2016), Allah Willing.
On the other hand, Al-Duweila’ met with the head of the Sudanese health delegation on the sideline of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council Meeting. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the ways to enhance the health cooperation between both brotherly counties, in addition to a number of topics of mutual concern to both countries.
