In a good gesture materializing spirit of social solidarity, the Director of Nutrition Section at King Faisal Hospital (KFH) in Taif, Mr. Mansour Saeed Al-Qarni, has donated part of his liver to a six-month-old baby girl, who had been suffering from cirrhosis.
His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health, Mr. Hamad Al-Duweila honored, at his ministerial office yesterday, the donor in appreciation of his noble humanitarian stance. Al-Duweila thanked him and prayed for Allah, Almighty, to reward him for his good deeds; meanwhile, highlighting that Al-Qarni set a good example to be followed in the humanitarian deeds.
It is noteworthy that the surgery performed at King Faisal Specialized Hospital (KFSH) in Riyadh has been crowned with success, as the donor has contributed with 20% of his liver to saving the child life, thanks to Allah, the Almighty.
