His Excellency the Minister of Health Mr. Ahmad Al-Khateeb has chaired last Monday morning a meeting, including the Ministry's Hajj senior officials, where he got acquainted with the Ministry's plans and programs in preparation for the next Hajj season (1436H).
Mr. Al-Khateeb reviewed the projects and programs for development of health services during Hajj and urged officials to exert the utmost efforts to provide health care for the Guest of Allah and focus on health programs which, Allah willing, will contribute to saving lives, such as programs of cardiac surgeries, renal dialysis and endoscopy. He also called for more efforts to provide healthy atmosphere for pilgrims and maintain their health and safety.
Then, His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development and Chairman of Hajj Preparatory Committees Dr. Muhammad Khoshaim held the second meeting of the Hajj Preparatory Committees and reviewed in details the early preparations of the Hajj committees taking part in the Ministry of Health's (MOH) Hajj plan for 1436H, placing particular emphasis on preparations of Makkah and Madinah regions.
On his part, the Supervisor-General of the Hajj and Umrah Health Services General Department Dr. Hussein bin Abdullah Ghannam said that the participants in the meeting discussed the road map highlighted by His Excellency the Minister Mr. Ahmad Al-Khateeb for this year’s Hajj season, as well as the agenda, including a study about renovating sunstroke and thermal stress devices at the hospitals of the Holy Places, and the training plan for workers during Hajj.
He pointed out that the meeting discussed all needs of the committees working in Hajj, in addition to getting acquainted with the completed projects and what has already been achieved in the Hajj workforce program, as well as contracts for visiting physicians. The meeting tackled also a number of other subjects on the agenda.
The gathering came in continuation of the meetings held by the MOH's Hajj Preparatory Committees and follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Health Mr. Ahmad bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb to take all measurements and preparations for this year’s Hajj season (1436H), and provide the best service for the Guests of Allah.
