His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel bin Muhammad Faqih, is to patronize tomorrow, October 29th, 2014 (corresponding to Muharram 5th, 1436H), the 8th Health Awareness Symposium, which will be organized by King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital, in collaboration with MOH's Relations, Media and Health Awareness General Department, and the Charitable Society for Health Awareness "Hayatona", under the title "Health Awareness and the New Media".
The MOH Spokesman and Advisor to the Minister of Health, Dr. Khalid Marghalani, has pointed out that the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS( has accredited 15 hours of continuing medical education (CME) for participants in the symposium, which will be attended by 23 speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom, including Bahrain, Egypt, the United Kingdom, the United States and Ireland.
Within the same vein, Dr. Marghalani has indicated that the symposium aims at identifying new media and how to invest it scientifically in the programs and activities of health awareness and health promotion, as well as the exchange of expertise and experiences in the field of health awareness and new media.
