King Fahd Hospital and East Jeddah Hospital Linked to King Abdullah Medical Complex to Provide Integrated Medical Services

His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel Faqih, has issued a decision linking both King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah and East Jeddah Hospital to the CEO of King Abdullah Medical Complex, in terms of the administrative, financial and technical affairs. This decision is projected to result in building a medical system with integrated human and technical resources; in an endeavor to provide distinctive and specialized medical services to meet the citizen’s health needs.
 
This regulatory action comes within the framework of the developmental strides taken by the Ministry of Health (MOH) aiming to coordinate and unify the efforts of its health facilities, which will be positively reflected on upgrading its health services, in a manner that helps meet the citizens’ health needs.
 
The decision also stipulated that the CEO of King Abdullah Medical Complex shall be entitled to all powers of the directors of health affairs in the Kingdom’s governorates, with regard to the administrative and financial affairs in the aforementioned complex and two hospitals. The decision comes as part of the structural changes undergone by the Ministry of Health, to develop the technical and administrative work, as well as upgrading the health services provided at health facilities.
