Dr. Al-Khoshaim Lauds the International E-Health Conference

His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Dr. Muhammad bin Hamza Al-Khoshaim, has announced that the International E-Health Conference entitled: “Harmonization and Change Management”, is to be organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH) under the gracious auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, in collaboration with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS)- Middle East, on April 13th-14th, 2014 (corresponding to Jumada Al-Akerah 13th-14th, 1435H), at Jeddah Hilton Hotel. “The conference is emanated from the HIMSS's staunch belief in the Kingdom’s pioneering role in all fields, as well as its adoption of many ideas and issues serving the interest and development of people on the regional and international levels,” said Dr. Al-Khoshaim.
 
He went on adding: “The conference will provide a clear vision on the MOH's e-health strategies, and will shed light on ways to maintain its globally pioneering role in the provision of best-quality healthcare services, both at present and in the future, by means of automating health service.”
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Khoshaim has pointed out that the conference aims at highlighting the latest developments in the field of health information technology worldwide, and will shed light on the pivotal role of the e-health service, and its contributions to providing the highest possible quality of health care services for beneficiaries across the world. Moreover, it will draw attention to the distinctive progress achieved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, and the strategies it adopts to promote the e-health domain, with a view to improving the quality and efficiency of the health systems for all Saudi citizens and residents. That is brought into effect by a constellation of specialists in the e-health field at both the regional and international levels, with a participation of a number of MOH senior officials.
