“Child Theater” Attracts the Visitors of the MOH Booth at Jandria 29

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is keeping on holding its health awareness activities through its booth at the National Festival for Heritage and Culture (Jandria 29). The MOH booth is organizing many health awareness programs, including the programs related to family violence, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, blood donation, domestic medicine, organ transplantation, and patient relations and rights, in addition to participations of King Fahd Medical City, King Abdullah Medical City, and King Fahd Specialist Hospital, aside from the “Child Theater” annexed to the Booth.
 
During the first days of Janadria, the visitors of the MOH booth reached 10.000 visitors, moving through the MOH booth and other participant booths at Jandria, especially those related to the health awareness services.
 
It is worth mentioning that the MOH has examined 3.000 visitors through its booth, and provided them with several free health services, including obesity screening, dental check-up, mental health advices, osteoporosis screening, anti-smoking program, blood donation, and balanced diet.
 
Moreover, this awareness “Child Theater” is reckoned one the most prominent activities, which attracted the visitors of Jandria, through its awareness cartoon films, and other educational and entertainment activities, in addition to the distinctive and diverse competitions and awards, that encouraged most visitors to participate in, and interact with those awareness theatrical shows. The “Child Theater” had displayed on its stage a set of awareness plays, targeting the child; in an endeavor to implant and promote the proper health concepts among children, to adopt the good personal hygiene habits and practices, aside from allowing the children and their families to participate in the shows and awards.
 
In addition, the “Child Theater” has focused, through its different shows, on providing the visitors with some awareness messages and useful tips on the oral health, the first aid procedures, the way to deal with burns, smoking harms, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. To that end, those responsible for the theatrical shows were keen to spread the personal hygiene culture among children since early childhood, with particular emphasis on the importance of balanced, healthy food.
