Dr. Al-Howasi Underscores the Importance of Receiving the Auditors and Discussing their Demands

In the Presence of His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Health Affairs, Dr. Mansour bin Nasser Al-Howasi, the first annual meeting of the assistant administrative and financial officials at health directorates, medical cities and specialized hospitals all over the Kingdom’s governorates has been held for the fiscal year 1435/1436H. The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including highlighting the importance of tendering on the due dates, and discussing the administrative and financial powers entitled to health directorates. Besides, the participants in the meeting have been briefed on the new programs and projects implemented recently by the Ministry, such as the e-recruitment and e-promotion systems.
 
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Howasi welcomed the attendees, and highlighted the primordial role played by the administrative and financial departments, including the Human Resources Department and the Public Fund Department, in line with the directives of the Minister of Health, in an endeavor to meet the aspirations of the Rulers, May Allah protect them. Moreover, Dr. Al-Howasi called upon the attendees to work hard on promoting the performance level in the administrative and financial sector, as well as taking the procedures required for many issues; most notably tendering on the due dates, good preparation of the bid requirements and specifications, and the need to ensure that all the administrative and financial decisions are issued in the first place for the patient’s interest, because the target is more important than the procedure itself.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Howasi underscored the need to receive the auditors, and give them enough time to discuss their demands, in line withthe adopted laws and regulations; in order to achieve a distinctive health service. Besides, he emphasized the importance of receiving all employees in the health sector well, because they all have rights as much as they are entitled to duties. He also highlighted that good treatment doesn’t require any financial potentials.
 
After that, the Advisor of the Department and Supervisor-General of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Saad bin Menawer Al-Hujeily, has pointed out that the importance of this meeting stems from the keenness of the Department on the development of work mechanisms, that will reflect positively on improving the performance level. Then, he asked all attendees to participate in the discussion openly and with full transparency, in order to achieve the desired objectives of the meeting. Moreover, he underlined the Minister’s directives on the need to make optimal use of the budgets allocated for the health directorates and governorates, according to the targets assigned to them, that will also reflect positively on the level of health services provided to citizens. Mr. Al-Hujeily also focused on the importance of working to implement the Ministry's strategy in all domains, in line with the National Project for Inclusive and Integrated Health Care.
 
It is worth mentioning that the participants in this meeting include the Assistant Deputy Minister for Supply and Operation, Mr. Ibrahim Hafez, the Supervisor General of Financial Affairs, Mr. Mesh‘al Al-Otaibi, the Director General of Budget, Mr. Riyad Al-Khalifa, the Director General of Personnel Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Al-Mowais, the Supervisor General of Self-Employment Program, Dr. Khaled Khader, and the Supervisor General of Contracts and Procurement, Mr. Zain El-‘Abedin Al-Hefzy.
