MOH to Participate in “The International Mechanisms for Human Rights Protection” Program

The Ministry of Health (MOH) will participate in the training program specialized in the human rights domain, which will be held over the period from 23rd to 27th February, 2014 (corresponding to 23rd-27th Rabee‘ Al-Akher, 1435H), under the title: “The International Mechanisms for Human Rights Protection and the Efforts of the UN Organizations in Human Rights.”
 
This training course comes as part of the MOU and the technical cooperation between the Kingdom and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), targeting the employees of the government agencies and the national associations, whose work nature is related to human rights.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry has nominated both Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Dakhiel, the Supervisor-General of Patient Rights and Relations Program, as well as a number of employees from the Patient Rights and Relations General Department and the Employee’ Rights General Department. The course will be held for five days at the main premises of the Human Rights Commission in Riyadh.
 
Furthermore, the training course will touch upon a number of important issues in this area, including outlining the work mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council, and its special procedures, aside from the complaints procedures, in addition to displaying the work mechanism of the committees entitled to monitor the implementation of human rights conventions.
