Dr. Al-Rabeeah Approves a Decision Punishing Two Physicians Working at a MOH Hospital in Asir

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has approved a decision punishing two physicians working at one of the MOH hospitals in Asir; due to their negligence in dealing with a patient. The specialist didn’t communicate with the consultant before commencing the treatment plan as he ordered wrong. The consultant surgeon has also committed a mistake as he did not follow up the patient during his hospitalization, thereby violating article (32/2) of the Health Practice Law.
 
Within the same vein, this decision comes as part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to promote the level of health facilities and monitor the performance of their employees, in such a manner that ensures the advancement of services and working at these facilities in compliance with the adopted regulations and procedures.
 
Over and above, the decision reflects transparency pursued by the Ministry in dealing with all mass media, aside from seeking to avoid the shortcomings of its facilities.
