MOH Participates with Remarkable Programs at "Ibtikar Exhibit"

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has participated in this year's exhibit of Ibtikar (the Arabic work for innovation), organized by the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, on its third round, under the title "Towards an Innovation-based Knowledge Society". It is held in collaboration with three bodies: the headquarters of the Ministry of Health (MOH), King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) in Riyadh, and King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC)in the Holy Capital.
 
In the meantime, the MOH took part in this exhibit with several important innovations on the field of the health work, produced by the Saudi health practitioners working for the Ministry of Health (MOH), as well as some innovative developmental programs applied by the MOH in some of its facilities. They aim to upgrade the quality of the health services provided and fulfill the aspirations of our governors, may Allah protect them, in terms of advancing the health services provided.
 
On the other hand, the King Abdullah Medical City in the Holy Capital (Makkah) participated in the Ibtikar Exhibit 2013 with the “Doctor Innovator Program” which was acclaimed by the visitors and saw huge turnout as well. Such Program was adopted by the King Abdullah Medical City, proceeding from its belief in the importance of innovation as an effective tool in advancing societies. In addition to this, providing incentives for innovation to children's will have great impact on improving on services and health products in particular. This Program targets the pupils of the higher grades of the primary stage, namely the gifted ones. And targeting children at this age group is attributed to easy instilling of values in them and its effectiveness on the short and long term. Also, having them gain the innovation skills at this age will make them more productive in the future. All the more, child upbringing in line with the sound health values contributes to improving their health and building health-educated generation. 
 
Meanwhile, "Doctor Innovator Program" aims to disseminate some conceptions such as the design thinking concept with its four main steps included, as well as focusing on spreading the principal, sound health concepts such as exercising, adopting a healthy diet, protecting against pollution, and so forth.
 
Further, "Doctor Innovator Program" presented a number of outcomes to the society, the most important of which is the student's bag containing a book for the illustrated stories and interactive activities and stationery that boost the innovative thinking of the pupil. In addition to this, the Program presented the teacher's bag containing the teacher's guide that includes a detailed explanation for the campaign and the tools used in it in terms of cartoon episodes and illustrated stories, as well as the adult-oriented illustrated design thinking book which tackles the method of the innovative thinking with all its aspects and applications included in a remarkable way.
