MOH Releases the Directory of the Financial Rights and Benefits for Saudi Health Practitioners

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has released the Directory of the Financial Rights and Benefits for Saudi Health Practitioners, with the aim of providing detailed information on salaries and allowances given to those enrolled in MOH's Health Job Regulations, or those working in MOH Self-Employment Programs.
 
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, for his gracious support and ongoing attention to the health sector’s staff, as well as his keenness to create the proper environment for them, so that they can assume their tasks professionally, the matter causing improvement of health services provided for citizens.
 
It is worth mentioning that this first version is reckoned as culmination for the previously-issued decisions, which aimed at improving the living standard of the Saudi health practitioners, and providing all means to attract and maintain the cadres and staff with distinctive and rare specialties.
 
Moreover, the word of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Al-Rabeeah, came at the beginning of the directory, in which he said: “The Kingdom carried out, May Allah be praised, many achievements and accomplishments, in an endeavor to improve the living standard of Saudi health practitioners”.
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah referred to several resolutions that were issued in this regard, such as determining salaries and allowances scale, and all other financial rights and benefits. In addition, Dr. Al-Rabeeah noted that the new health cadre represents a leap in the salary scale, whose basic notion is based on the principles of justice and equality in the financial benefits among all health sectors, meanwhile, taking into account the aspects of experiences, rarity and excellence, the matter increasing MOH ability to attract and maintain the qualified cadres.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah wished for this Directory to be a good helper for the health workers and specialists, so as to be aware of all the rights and benefits approved by the State for the Saudi health practitioners.
 
For his part, the Supervisor of the Directory, and Advisor to the Minister for Regions Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al-Qahtani, pointed out that this version aims to facilitate the task of the existing health practitioners or the newly hired ones to get clear details on the financial rights and benefits, indicating that this Directory has been prepared after collecting and assorting the documents and resolutions issued in this regard. Dr. Al-Qahtani noted that the Directory was reviewed and proofed by the MOH relevant departments.
 
Moreover, Dr. Al-Qahtani went on adding that the Directory contains two major chapters. The first chapter comprises definitions, general provisions, job groups and categories as included in MOH's Health Job Regulations and additional positions. Also, the Directory includes a comprehensive outline of the financial rights and benefits given to the Saudis recruited on the health salary scale and enrolled in MOH's Health Job Regulations, such as the salary scale, allowances, recompenses and bonuses paid with the monthly salary, in addition to the other allowances, bonuses, recompenses, and financial benefits.
 
While the second chapter sheds light on the financial rights and benefits given to the Saudis enrolled in the salary scale of health practitioners working on MOH Self-Employment Programs, which comprises salaries, allowances, bonuses, compensations and financial benefits.
