19 September 2013

The Kuwaiti Health Minister has commended the Mass-Gathering Medicine World Conference, which is to be held from Dhul-Qa'dah 15th to 17th, 1434h, corresponding to September Twenty-First to Twenty-Third, 2013, in Riyadh; under the royal auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may Allah protect him.

He says that "this highly-praised initiative taken by the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organizing the second Mass-Gathering World Conference, which is convened under the royal auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, reveals an in-depth vision and crystal-clear message for the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) and its leadership. Thus, providing self-contained and high-quality health care for the mass-gatherings, during emergency time, is considered among the major challenges facing the health systems. And the remarkable, unique experience of the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), in this regard, prompts proudness and pride. Further, this world health event, that's to say holding this significant conference, in itself creates the opportunity for specialists; to capitalize on such great asset of the Saudi MOH's officials' experience on the Mass-Gathering Medicine field, and to provide the conspicuous health care to which the Hajj performers bear witness; as well as the Medical Emergency Department which is credited by all for its high efficiency."

He went on to add that "it is unquestionable that crisis management system and swift response for emergency always need ongoing training and experience exchange among specialists. It is also to draw on the planning based upon the scientific facts and cumulative experience which are made available through holding this important world conference, hosted by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As such, we look forward to exchanging experience among specialists on this field at the region level; and during present and critical time in particular. This is to enhance the health system capacities in terms of responding to the emergency requirements and diverse mass gatherings and integrate efforts at the level of brothers and specialists on medical emergency and Mass-Gathering Medicine; in order to achieve the best results on implementing the emergency plans."

He concluded saying that "I extend sincere thanks and immense gratitude to his Excellency the Minister of Health of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah for this worth-thanking invitation, which is attended, on my own behalf, by Dr. Jamal Mansour Al-harbi; the Assistant Under-secretary Minister for Technical Affairs, along with a team of specialized cadres from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health. I pray Allah, the Almighty, to bestow prosperity and progress upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people, protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, enjoy him health and wellness, and reward him all the good for his royal care and the dedication of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the Hajj performers; as part of the peerless, remarkable system of the Mass Gathering Medicine in the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
