The MOH Executive Council Approves Transferring "My Referral" Program to the Emergency Department

The Executive Council of the Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved transferring the "My Referral" Progarm (Ehalati) to the Emergency Department, with the aim of speeding up providing hospitalization and treatment services in a better way and higher quality. Thus, the Council has lauded the efforts of Dr. Khalid Alhussein, the supervisor of Ehalati Program. Additionally, the Methods and Systems Department has been tasked with studying the program, with all its aspects included.

This decision was taken during the Seventh Meeting of the MOH Executive Council, presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health on Wednesday morning. At the beginning of the meeting, he stressed on paying close attention to quality control and patient safety programs. He also stressed on being keen to gain the patient's satisfaction and adhere to the MOH's motto: "Patient First". “These are among the values and principles which the Ministry of Health (MOH) seeks to strongly establish; to be embraced as a work approach, along with transparency, honesty, and credibility,” said Dr. al-Rabeeah.

He further lauded the efforts of those in charge of "937" and "Ehalati" programs, pointing out that the work and the performance of these two programs has been lauded by the premiership. He also affirmed that “the Ministry of Health is relentlessly in quest of the continuous and constant development; in order to improve the quality of the services provided to patients, expand and develop them.”

During the meeting, a number of important topics have been discussed, such as the anti-radiation protection programs of the private health sector, as well as briefing the Council with the latest developments with regard to the developmental plan of the MOH's social, medical service. Lastly, the policy and procedure directory of the workers' health program has been discussed.

It is worth mentioning that the Executive Council, since its establishement, has issued a number of decisions which are concerned with administrative work. Such decision essentially aim at advancing the performance of all the departments and sections of the Ministry of Health (MOH), upgrading its services and production, strengthening its relation with patients, and taking care of their notes and complaints. It also aims at providing the best health care services, making sure of applying the inclusive quality measures, developing the medical performance, and strongly establishing the scientific, institutional, and collective work approach, as well as carrying the principles of integrity and objectivity in work to perfection, in a way that keeps abreast with the fast-pacing, diverse variables the world is witnessing, especially in the medical field.

Within the same vein, the decisions of the Minister of Health go along with the directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, aiming at complementing the development march and the inclusive advancement, which in turn ends up serving citizens and advancing the health services, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of our rulers towards a remarkable quantum leap for the health services.
