Ministry of Health Fines Four of its Doctors for violating Health Profession Regulations

The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah has decided to issue a (10,000sr) fine to a doctor practicing in one of Medina Health Affairs Hospitals . This was due to the Doctors offensive behavior toward others, as well as, his breach of work ethics, and lack of professionalism. His actions fall in contrary to the legislation and regulations stipulated in Article (31) of the Health Profession Regulations.
 
The Minister of Health has also decided to revoke the medical license of three Doctors practicing in a Health Affairs Hospital located in the province of Jazan. They were guilty of issuing incorrect medical reports which, according to Article (2-32) and (28) of the Health Profession Regulations warrants a fine of (30,000.sr).
The resolutions also included penalizing The Deputy Manager of the hospital with a (10) day pay deduction and disciplinary transfer for abusing his authority. His case was then handed over to the appropriate authorities that deal with incorrect issuing of medical reports by incompetent health practitioners.
 
These resolutions reflect the continual efforts of the (MoH) to raise the quality of its healthcare, monitor the performance of its employees,  ensure the improvement of services, and the functioning of healthcare facilities in accordance with the regulations and procedures. They,also, highlight the (MoH)’s endeavor for transparency when dealing with the media as well as its efforts to avoid the shortcomings of healthcare facilities.
