As a part of the activities of the summer health awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Health (MOH)entitled “Hello, Healthy Ramadan” during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the MOH Media and Health Awareness Information Center hosts Dr. Samir Sendi, a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, on Thursday 25/7/2013 (corresponding to 16/9/1434H) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. via the Center’s toll free number: 8002494444, and the MOH account on Facebook and Twitter: @SAUDIMOH; in order to answer all callers’ enquiries, and provide medical tips and guidelines on the causes of infertility among women, as well as the ways of treatment and the best methods to be adopted during pregnancy up to the date of giving birth. Dr. Sendi is expected also to provide some guidelines for pregnant women on the ways of dealing with fasting during Ramadan's days; in order to maintain their health and their embryos’ health.
It is noteworthy that the “Hello, Healthy Ramadan” program hosted during the current week a group of consultants and specialists, who answered all callers’ inquiries via the toll-free number and the MOH account on Twitter and Facebook, including Dr. Ibtihaj Saud Al-Oraini, a Consultant in Therapeutic Nutrition, Dr. Muneera Ba-Raja, a Consultant in Family and Community Medicine, and Dr. Jameel Hamza Faqeeha, a Consultant in Orthopedics.
Furthermore, the MOH Media and Health Awareness Information Center, through a number of female pharmacists and specialists in nutrition and health education, will keep on receiving callers’ questions and enquiries on all health issuesduring the official working hours of this Holy Month via the Center’s toll-free number.
