As a part of the activities of the summer health awareness campaign carried out by the Ministry of Health (MOH); the MOH Media and Health Awareness Information Center hosts Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Sa'ran, a Consultant in Kidney Diseases and Supervisor General of Prince Salman Center for Kidney Diseases (PSCKD), tomorrow “Tuesday” on 2/7/2013 (corresponding to 23/8/1434H) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. via the Center’s toll free number: 8002494444 and the social networking websites, Facebook and Twitter: @SAUDIMOH; in order to answer all callers enquiries, and provide the medical tips and guidelines on kidney diseases, their main bad effects, symptoms of the renal function deterioration, and the ways of identifying the people who are at risk of kidney problems. Dr. Al-Sa'ran will also provide medical tips on the proper methods of diagnosis as well as the appropriate treatment of patients, and the methods used for the prevention against this disease.
It is noteworthy that the MOH, through the Media and Health Awareness Information Center, hosts all over the year a constellation of physicians and specialists from different health sectors, and this is the tenth year for this program. Within the same vein, the MOH had launched, during the past year through its awareness campaign, the cartoon character (Seoff), thorough which, health awareness messages are broadcasted, coinciding with the summer vacations and travel season. The MOH intends to use the same cartoon character during this summer campaign; by means of implementing several awareness events and activities.
