Minister of Health Orders to Close a Medical Private Center in Turaif

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has approved a decision to withdraw the license of a dental center in Turaif; due to the repeated irregularities and violations taking place within this center, as well as preventing its owner from applying for a new license except after two years from the date of  implementing the decision.
 
The Inspection Committee of the Private Sector Health Affairs Department at the Northern Borders region, has detected and recorded during its tour some irregularities in that center, which included allowing male and female physicians to work without obtaining a license to practice the profession, the absence of specialized clinics, the lack of nursing cadres or dental staff at all, as well as the non-existence of waste room. Also, the owner of the center did not respond to the requests of the Medical Infringements Committee at the Northern Borders region.
 
Within the same vein, the sanctions included referring the male and female physicians to the Health Practitioners Commission; in order to take the appropriate punishment against them, for breaching the health facilities system and practicing the profession in the center before obtaining a license.
 
It is worth mentioning that a committee of the Private Sector Health Affairs Department at the Northern Borders Health Affairs General Directorate has passed by the infringing center, and recorded the mentioned violations. The violations have been considered and adjudicated in accordance with the Article (25/3L) of the Law of the Private Health Installations and its Implementing Regulations. The sentence, after being final, will be published in three local newspapers at the expense of the violator.
