Within the framework of the epidemiological surveillance of the novel Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced the death of one patient of the previously infected cases in Al-Ahsa governorate. It is noteworthy that this 81-years-old woman was suffering from chronic kidney failure, as well as other chronic diseases, May Allah have mercy upon her.
In the same vein, MOH has pointed out that no positive cases of this virus have been recorded in Al-Ahsa governorate since 18th May, 2013 (corresponding to 8th Rajab, 1434 H). Meanwhile, lab tests have been conducted on 49 samples during the past twenty-four hours from different regions, and the results proved negative, May Allah be praised.
Furthermore, MOH has declared that 9 cases of this virus have recovered, since the first case of the disease in the Kingdom. All of them left the health facilities, May Allah be praised.
