Dr. Al-Rabeeah: “Health Services Attached a Great Interest and Top Priority in the Era of King Abdullah”

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, has confirmed that in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Prime Minister, the health services have been attached great interest and high priority within the successive development plans for all fields in our beloved Kingdom. Such keen interest shown by the Wise Leadership towards health services had its impact, in a short period of time, in transferring technology and catching up the progress and development march, and coping with its counterparts of developed countries. Dr. Al-Rabeeah indicated that the Kingdom has witnessed a developmental paradigm shift in general, and in the health sector in particular, at all preventive, therapeutic, diagnostic and rehabilitative levels. Accordingly, this is accompanied by a qualitative expansion in the provided services, and a comprehensive developmental mobility, including promoting and upgrading the institutional and administrative works at the Ministry of Health (MOH). This resulted in the establishment of the executive boards at MOH headquarter and the regions; in order to confirm the formulation of the proper unanimously decision based on evidences, proofs, consultation, quality development and patient safety, that is to be added to the implementation of e-health strategy which aims to resettle the modern technology at all MOH facilities.
 
This was materialized and all those blessed efforts have been culminated in the past few days by the Cabinet’s resolution of establishing the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control (NCDPC), which aims at contributing to eliminating the communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as  monitoring, following up and preventing their spread, aside frompromoting the health care through conducting researches and studies on the prevention of these diseases and finding outmeans to combat them.
 
In his address today morning before the inauguration ceremony of the Saudi Health Exhibition and conference-2013 at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), Dr. Al-Rabeeah said: “It is my pleasure to welcome you in this ceremony, which coincides with a pleasant celebration that the Kingdom is witnessing of the Eighth Anniversary of the Pledge-Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque, King Abdullah in Abdulaziz, May Allah protect him. In the meantime,our country is replete with more achievements and good projects in favor of this dear nation and all of us from the honored citizens and all who live at our homeland, the matter of which makes us more loyal, loving and sincere to the leader of our march and the sponsor of the renaissance, meanwhile, praying for Almighty Allah to bestow health and well-being upon the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and protect him, his Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Prime Minister.”
 
He went on to expound that the MOH adoption to the idea of organizing this conference and the annexed exhibition stemmed from its interest in the heath cadres and stakeholders, and to inform them of the latest scientific findings in the medical technology industry and health equipment, which reflects the MOH keenness and constant pursuit to transfer these modern technologies and implement them at all hospitals, medical cities and health care centers in the Kingdom’s regions and governorate. This will achieves the improvement and development of the health care in its modern technology.
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah has noted that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to support MOH with 22 medical complexes and hospitals, as well as developing the primary health care and the momentous projects being worked out, all of which are reckoned to be the largest expansion and the paradigm shift that MOH witnesses, an which will double the number of beds. These precious directives are accompanied by establishing “Health” company for health investments, which achieves an important strategic objective for the resettlement of health industry and providing job opportunities for the home land cadres, which will be in favor of the health industries and technology transfer.
 
He went to add: “Through this platform, I call upon all companies and the international competent institutions of industry and technical health, to quickly cooperate with MOH through the private health sector; in order to achieve these objectives, and to be the starting point oftransferring their main offices to Saudi Arabia, and then to start to work hard to transfer technology and health industries. In the meantime, they will find all support for the success of their work.”
 
For his part, the Deputy Ministry for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Mazrou, said, “On my own behalf and on behalf of all health sector employees, it is a pleasure and honor to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, May Allah protect him, for the great effort and support he has attached to the health sector and its workers; in an endeavor to promote the level of health services provided to citizens. The Kingdom is witnessing a remarkable development in all service sectors in general and the health sector in particular, which makes its active and powerful role of leading the medical devices and medicines market in general all over the Middle East and the Arab world, which is also deemed to be the biggest incentive for all international specialized companies to enter the Saudi market and display all their products and findings of the latest technology and expertise in this area. Proceeding from the importance of identifying the latest medical devices, we open today the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference-2013 for the third consecutive year under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah. The conference aims to provide an opportunity for those working in the medical field to recognize the latest techniques of the medical devices and the latest technologies in the medical field, in addition to the exchange of views and experiences between the users and the manufacturers; in order to avoid the negatives and their treatment. From this standpoint, I would like to mention that theparticipating companies have reached to 270 medical companies and more than 23 sponsors.”
 
The head of the conference Scientific Committees, Dr. Ali Zayla'i stated: “This grand gathering is one of the largest platforms to shed light ont the updates in medicine and its branches, as well as exchanging experiences among specialists in the modern medicine domain, which is deemed the best proof for the medical advances and the remarkable success in providing the medical services at the highest levels in our country, under the wise and compassionate leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz,May Allah protect him and bestow upon him the dress of health and wellness, that is to be added to the proper planning of His Excellency the Minister of Health and those sincere workers.As the first event of its kind in this year, there are 7 specializedmedical conferences annexed to the Medical Equipment Exhibition, in which the mostfamous specialists in the world participate.Thus, there will becompatibility between information and its vision of application on the ground. It is noteworthy that these conferencesare for heart disease, non-communicable diseases, the latest X-ray technology, X-ray diagnostic, medical engineering, medical laboratories and nursing professionals, in addition to an auditorium inside the exhibition to give companies the chance to convey the information and answer the visitors’ questions.”
