Minister of Health Presides over the 4th Advisory Meeting for the MOH Leaders in Riyadh

On Wednesday morning, in Riyadh, the Fourth Advisory Meeting for MOH Leaders was kicked off, under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, with the attendance of the directors-general of health affairs. 
 
He opened the associated exhibition which included the health improvement programs serving patients, and the strategies which support work in the facilities of the Ministry of Health. He also affirmed that the innovative skills and upgrading programs which serve the patients is the basis of developing services in the Ministry of Health (MOH).
 
In the meantime, he reviewed the MOH achievements accomplished over the past years, and contributed to increasing the productivity, improving and monitoring the performance of the MOH work; in order to train the cadres through a wide range of programs adopted by the Ministry of Health. This is in order to overcome the mistakes which could occur as a result of the health practice, in addition to the patient's service program, the most important of which is the transferring program. He went on pointing out that these are important, great, and ambitious programs carried out by the Ministry of Health, in a manner that guarantees, Allah willing, that the Saudi health system in the Kingdom is one of the respectable systems.
 
Within the same context, he pointed out that the Leadership Skills Development Department of the Ministry of Health trained more than 200 senior officials in the Ministry of Health through eight running courses over three years. In addition to this, a number of senior officials developed the internal policy books of their management, which included highlighting the strategic goals and objective plans; in order to achieve goals and follow up their application. This has taken place in cooperation with the advisors of the Health Department who presented a number of consultations to the team members about the most appropriate methods for addressing the current situation and how to draw up the general strategic plans for the concerned sections, based upon the health general strategic goals.
 
He also drew attention to the fact that the Ministry of Health finished training more than 140.000 employees through more than one thousand workshops and training programs. Additionally, the Ministry of Health (MOH) organized through the Training and Scholarship Department several programs including change-accelerating programs and clinical training through simulation and training on the newborn intensive care; the trainers of this program reached 120 nurses. Also, 56 nurses were trained in Dammam, in addition to training 78 nurses in Buraidah. This is as part of the scientific program for training.
 
On Wednesday morning, in Riyadh, during his opening for the fourth advisory meeting for the MOH's officials and the directors-general of the health affairs general directorates in the regions and governorates, he made clear that what has been broached before all colleagues from the Ministry of Health and the directors-general of the health affairs general directorates is to benefit all the regions and it is a main goal for the Ministry of Health (MOH).
 
Further, Dr, Al-Rabeeah affirmed that the Ministry of Health adopts the programs making success in the regions and become general programs, pointing out that exchanging experience and benefit among the regions is one of the results of the Saudi health system Excellence.
 
He went on adding that the Ministry of Health is interested in regulating work in the private sector, noting that the private sector is a strategic partner for the Ministry of Health (MOH), and that the MOH and private health sector work together on raising the quality of the health service performance, reducing and avoiding mistakes in the private sector. He affirmed that the system issued by the Premiership is to guarantee the continuity of the private growth sector, in order for the ownership not to be monopolized by a single person and end by the end of this ownership, meaning that the clinic become the physician's ownership, whereas the medical communities can be owned by a physician and non-physician, and nationals and foreigners.
 
He pointed out that Transferring Program had formerly initiated in its pilot stage, in addition that Riyadh one of the regions in which the Program was initiated. And this Program had been applied in some other regions. He also added that working on the second and third stages is to take place in the next two years; in order to complete the Program.
 
He affirmed that health is part of the states' economic system, stressing on the MOH's interest in not considering the cost of the health care and being economically worthwhile. Hence, the Ministry of Health is interested through specific departments in thoroughly studying it; to guarantee the optimal benefit from the self resources.
 
He went on saying that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is always honored, through the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, his royal highness the Crown Prince, and the Second Deputy Premier, that the MOH's work is institutional based upon the dialogue, collective decision, and studying the obstacles, challenges, and insufficiency aspects which it faces in the regions and go0vernorates. Thus, the optimal ways achieving the effective solutions which positively reflect on the patient's service and the health service quality, provided by the Ministry of Health, are being studied.
He further added that the Ministry of Health, with the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has wide-scale spread and very huge projects, as we started to reap the fruits of these projects as all witness. And this year and the next years will witness operating and activating a wide range of the MOH's projects and its health facilities.
 
Within the same vein, he pointed out that the constructive programs which the Ministry of Health (MOH) provides seeks, though it, to improve performance and provide service, and unveil the insufficiency aspects, mistakes, and how to tackle them in order to get rid of them. And we hope to lend them the optimal interest; in order to develop and improve the quality; and work with the initiation and innovation spirit, for the citizens' service all over our dear country.
 
On the other hand, he honored the technical committees for medical specialties which prepared the guiding evidence for hospitals, and which set the work policies and procedures, job descriptive, accreditation requirements, and the clinical advantages for those working at the medical sections. It also prepared the regulations and systems related to work, and clinical guiding manual for staff. Not only that, it also set the manpower measures, the medical and non-medical equipment at the medical departments in the hospitals, determined and modernized the basic construction requirements for departments concerned with the hospitals, as well as setting and planning the training programs and scientific researches. And he handed “Thank You” certificates out to them in recognition of their efforts.
