The 1st Workshop of the Orthopedists Program Comes to a Close in Riyadh

As part of the training program in its 6th session, organized by the Hospitals General Department at the Ministry of Health (MOH) every two years, the Department has concluded the first workshop for the consultant physicians, specialists and resident physicians specialized in orthopedics working at MOH hospitals.
The Director General of Hospitals and Supervisor of the Training Program, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamid Al-Ghamdi, has pointed out that the program comes as part of the scientific activities organized by MOH Hospitals General Department. Besides, he noted that the program targets 100 orthopedists throughout the MOH hospitals, in an endeavor to raise the level of efficiency and quality of health services providedin them.
 
For his part, head of the scientific committee of this program’s  session, Dr. Ahmad bin Nasser Albu-Eisa, has mentioned that this session will contribute, Allah Willing, to upgrading the orthopedists’ efficiency through exchanging the ideas and experiences among orthopedists from inside and outside the Kingdom in trauma management, fractures treatment and orthotics ways for the lower limbs, as well as following up the updates and the new technology on fractures treatment and the innovative tools in fractures fixation and orthotics. Moreover, he indicated that this program is focusing on injuries and factures resulting from traffic accidents and other injuries of different types of fractures and different levels of injuries.
 
Dr. Albu-Eisa has further expounded that the lecturers in the workshop are reckoned a high-profile constellation of European orthopedists, alongside the participation of the Saudi ones, who shared in conducting lectures, workshops and scientific discussions, focusing on the necessity of commitment to the quality standards and abidance by the principles and fundamentals of surgical procedures; so as to achieve the best possible practical results and avoid complications.
 
In the same vein, Dr. Ahmad Al-Jebaee, the coordinator of the training program in the MOH Hospitals General Department, has underscored that the training program was organized under the title: “Trauma Management”. It included a number of lectures, workshops and scientific discussions. In addition, it is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), at a rate of 15 training continuing medical hours for each session, and the program consists of two sessions; the first one held in Riyadh on 21-22 Rabie Al-Awwal 1434H, and the second will be held, Allah Willing, in Jeddah on 24-25 Rabie Al-Awwal, 1434H.
