Dr. Al-Rabeeah: King Abdullah Ordered to Harness All Capabilities for the Treatment of those Injured in the Gas Truck Accident

   The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, May Allah protect him, has given orders to harness all potentials and capabilities for the treatment of those injured in the gas truck accident that took place this morning in Riyadh. He also gave directions to treat residents at all hospitals, and provide health care for them at the expense of the state.
 
This announcement was made by His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, during the visit he paid to the injured people hospitalized in Riyadh. He extended to them the greetings and wishes of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, to have speedy recovery. He got reassured about the health situation of the injured, and gave orders to take the necessary action in such emergencies.
 
It is noteworthy, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Al-Rabeeah, has given his orders to the Director-General of Riyadh Health Affairs, immediately after the accident, to apply the emergency plan, and mobilize all health cadres, as well as verifying of the readiness of MOH hospitals for receiving the injured, and provide the necessary treatment in accordance with the medical norms adopted in such cases.
 
Riyadh's hospitals have received today 133 injured people and 22 corpses, after the explosion of a gas truck on Al-Mo'aizeliah. It has been reported that the injured people include 26 Saudis, 67 non-Saudis, and 40 anonymous people. 43 cases have received the proper treatment and left the hospitals, whereas 90 cases are still receiving treatment, encompassing 12 cases at intensive care units. The health situation of the remainder ranges from mild to medium cases.
