Head of the Egyptian Medical Mission Commends the MOH's Efforts in Taking Care of Pilgrims
29 October 2012
The head of the Egyptian Medical Mission, the Minister Plenipotentiary and Medical Advisor at Egypt's Embassy in Riyadh, Dr. Hesham Shiha, has commended the strenuous efforts made by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an endeavor to keep a close eye on dialysis cases of Egypt's pilgrims, which exceeded 40 cases till Saturday.

Dr. Shiha made this announcement with the aim to highlight the distinguished medical services which were, and are still being, provided for pilgrims, especially those from Egypt at the MOH hospitals in Makkah and Madinah.

“The Arab Republic of Egypt considers with utmost respect and appreciation the services which have been provided by the Ministry of Health, in close coordination with the Egyptian Mission, so as to facilitate its medical work with the Egyptian pilgrims,” Shiha said. “Among such commendable efforts is the facilitation of the issuance of professional licenses for the Egyptian Mission's clinics, as well as moving all cases in need of hospitalization to hospitals, by Saud ambulances and two Egyptian ones.”

It didn't escape Dr. Shiha's notice to laud the MOH's efforts exerted through the Preventive Medicine Program during Hajj, by taking random blood samples from Egypt pilgrims (at their residents), to make sure that they are free from infectious diseases, in addition to providing assistance in contracting with a company to dispose medical waste and combat infection.
