MOH's Statement on the Period from 1 to 6 Dhul-Hijjah

   The Ministry of Health (MOH) has revealed that its hospitals and health centers at the Holy City (Makkah) and Madinah a total of 197265 pilgrims from 1 to 6 Dhul-Hijjah 1433H (corresponding to 17 to 22 October 2012). A number of 29214 patients received treatment at the outpatient clinics, whereas 31865 patients received ambulatory services. 
 
In the MOH Daily Statistical Statement, it was made clear that 136186 patients have benefitted from primary healthcare centers over this period, out of whom 70097 received treatment at Makkah's health centers and 66083 were treated at Madinah's centers, in addition to 6 health centers in Mina.
 
The statement pointed out that 2132 patients have been hospitalized at the various sections of health facilities based in Makkah and Madinah over this period: 1512 patients were hospitalized in Makkah's hospitals, and 620 patients were hospitalized in Madinah's hospitals.
 
Furthermore, the statement mentioned that 2025 patients left the MOH hospitals' hospitalization sections, including 1326 in Makkah and 699 in Madinah.
 
According to the MOH Daily Statistical Statement, the number of patients hospitalized at the hospitals of Makkah and Madinah, till Dhul-Hijjah 7th, has mounted to 2349 patients: 1287 in Makkah and 1062 in Madinah.
