Dr. Al-Khroubi: Flocking the Hospitalized Pilgrims to Arafat via Medical Convoy
23 October 2012
On Tuesday noon, Dhul-Hijjah 7th, a medical convoy reached Arafat, including the hospitalized pilgrims in Madinah's hopsitals, who were flocked to Mount Arafat in order for them to stand at it, and complete their Hajj rituals.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khroubi, the director of Arafat General Hospital, noted that the hospital received 30 patients from the Madinah's hospitals: 11 of them are intensive care patients, 5 of them are cardiac patients, 6 of them are internal medicine patients, and 8 of them are surgery patients. He went on adding that the hospital was prepared to receive these cases, and the convoy was staffed with fully fledged medical teams, accompanying the patients throughout their journey to the Holy Site of Arafat. Thus, they were accompanied by 30 physicians and 30 nurses.

It is worthwhile to mention that the Ministry of Health (MOH), every year, prepares a medical convoy in order to flock the hospitalized patients to the Holy Site of Arafat, for they are moved from the Holy Capital (Makkah), Mina, Madinah, and Jeddah hospitals. They are also accompanied by a fully fledged medical convoy; and on average, they had 350-500 Hajj performers perform the Hajj rituals.
